Karla Maria Carrillo Gonzalez was crowned last September 20, 2008, in Monterrey, Nuevo León, as 2008 Nuestra Belleza Mexico or 2008 Miss Mexico on. She will represent Mexico in the 58th Miss Universe pageant.

Biography

Representing her native state of Jalisco, Karla Carrillo competed in the national beauty pageant Nuestra Belleza Mexico 2008, where she obtained first place among thirty-two other contestants, thus making her the first Jaliscan to win the national title since Jacqueline Bracamontes in 2000. She was crowned by outgoing Nuestra Belleza Mexico titleholder Elisa Nájera of Guanajuato. Carrillo is expected to represent her country in the upcoming international Miss Universe 2009 pageant. Currently she is going through and arduous preparation for the Miss Universe contest in Mexico City along with also title holder for Nuestra Belleza Mexico Mundo Perla Beltran. In the Nuestra Belleza Mexico official website, the title holders recently sent out a message for all their followers telling them to stay tune because they are going to be posting videos of their preparation.

Miss Peru 2009, Karen Schwarz

Karen Susana Schwarz Espinoza (from Lima, Perú) is a beauty pageant titleholder, who will represent her country in Miss Universe 2009 to be held in Nassau, Bahamas on August 23, 2009. Schwarz won the Miss Perú Universo 2009 title in a pageant held in Lima, Perú on April 4, 2009. She was crowned by the outgoing titleholder, Karol Castillo, Miss Perú Universo 2008. Schwarz also won the "Miss Fitness" title.

Karen is currently receiving her preparation for her participation at Miss Universe by the Miss Peru 1965 and Miss Universe 1965 Semifinalist Frieda Holler and the Corporacion de la Belleza Organization. She became the third Miss Amazonas to win that title since the Miss Peru pageant first began in 1952. The first was Maria Esther Brambilla, Miss Peru 1968, and the other one was Paola Dellepiani in 1995. Karen is of German origin and she practices swim.

Miss Lebanon 2009, Martine Andraos

Martine Andraos is the reigning Miss Lebanon. She was crowned Miss Lebanon on June 26, 2009 in a broadcast held LIVE in Beirut, Lebanon on LBC . Martine will be representing Lebanon in Miss Universe 2009 which will take place on Nassau, Bahamas on August 23, 2009.

Lebanon treats its pageant royalty very well, indeed.

The winner receives more than $500,000 and can not only compete in the Miss Universe pageant, but the Miss World pageants, as well.

Miss Sweden 2009, Renate Cerljen

Renate Veronica Cerljen (born 1987 in Staffanstorp, Sweden) is the first ever winner of the Miss Universe Sweden pageant which she won on June 6, 2009. Cerljen will now represent Sweden at the upcoming Miss Universe 2009 pageant on the Bahamas. Renate will be the first non-winner of the Miss Sweden pageant since 1952 to represent Sweden at Miss Universe since Miss Sweden lost its rights to crown a contestant for Miss Universe earlier in 2009. Cerljen will also be the first delegate from Sweden at the international final since 2006 when Josephine Alhanko placed in the Top 20. Miss Universe 1984 winner Yvonne Ryding was among the judges in the final which crowned Cerljen as winner.
